I remember the pre-digital memories,
Before Google, Facebook and Windows last release,
When pictures were taken on film, Fuji, Agfa or Kodak,
The pictures were in two colors white and black,
You collected the pictures in shoeboxes a foot high,
Or huge colorful albums with special glue to apply,
On birthdays we all sat and leafed through the pages,
Looking at the faces of relatives gone with the ages,
The pictures used to have a serrated rugged edge,
Pictures from pre-school, childhood, your marriage pledge,
Today the albums are gone some boxes did still remain,
Left by the older generation never to be seen again,
Only I sometimes go through the odd album to go back,
To the times when life was just white and black,
