Bookshop Closing

It is not pleasant to see a store closing,
Sounds final and bad reminds me of decomposing,
Especially if the closing store is a bookstore,
That unfortunately will shut down its door,
I remember when I was a young man long ago,
Every shopping mall had three or four to show,
Nowadays if you are lucky, you see one, which is more,
Of a supermarket of cheap books that cover the floor,
In between greeting cards, dolls, toys, electronics,
Less books and words – a lot more of avionics,
I loved the smell of the leather-bound books,
Pipe and cigar blue smoke adds to the looks,
Now another page of history turned and dies,
Next, they will be selling here fish and fries,
